If you're not at home when a delivery attempt is made then the delivery person will normally post a 'while you were out' card through your letterbox and the item will be returned to the delivery depot.
In these circumstances we would ask that you contact the delivery company as soon as possible to arrange redelivery or collection as most of our delivery companies will only hold an item for one week following a failed delivery before they return the item to us as undelivered.
Alternatively the delivery person may decide to leave the item with a neighbor or in a suitable safe place on your property, depending on whether a signature is required (items sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery can not be left unattended or delivered to a neighbor) |
